The State Fair
I (M) LOVE the fair. What I probably love most are the corndogs (lots of mustard!). I also love the random gadgets (I got a really cool wooden frog, when you rub the accompanying stick across its back it croaks!). The free samples are fun too (we tried ice cream, salsa, bbq sauce). I like the birthing center. Although, we didn't see any piglets being born, just some rather uncomfortable looking mama pigs, we did catch the piglet racing, which was interesting and a little entertaining. The little piglets can fly around the track. D tried some interesting exercise equiptment, but refuses to allow the video to be seen by anyone but me.

I love state fairs too. Lots of happy memories. Are you Ryan Shupe fan? We had a big Medieval fair here last week to celebrate Cervantes's birthday. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI saw Ryan Shupe in concert with you and Dale in Provo... it was some sort of fair-like event we were at... I loved it, but I don't keep up with him now. Does he have a song I need to know about? Happy Birthday Miguel!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes. Ryan Shupe loves corn dogs, so he sings a song dedicated to that love. At Christmastime, he changes the words from "Corn dog, corn dog, you are so good to me" to "Egg nog, egg nog . . ." It is a fun little ditty either way. Keeps the youngsters happy in between the other songs. (The other songs seem more "grown up," like when he's singing about the banjo player, dreaming big, and superman.)
